Subsidies

According to the Objective 2 of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the promotion of infrastructure from the joint task "improvement of regional economic structures" as well as additional federal state funding, the Regional Programme 2000 is the umbrella for EU funding in Schleswig-Holstein for the funding period 2000-2006. Objective of the programme is the promotion of growth, innovation and employment in economically underdeveloped regions by improving the conditions regarding the location and by strengthening the regional economic potential.
 

The European Union provides subsidies for Schleswig-Holstein in the amount of 269.6 million EURO for the Objective 2-Programme for the period 2000 - 2006. The Objective 2 of the EU-Structural Funds promotes the economic and social conversion of regions with structural problems and is supported in Schleswig-Holstein by the ERDF with approx. 231.5 million EURO and the European Social Fund (ESF) with approx. 38.1 million EURO.
